Thanks to all that came out and helped us with this very informative night. We could not do this without your help. We appreciate our members bringing all the different ideas and opinions.  Come out this month with an open mind and help our group succeed.

 Again this month we are going to be going over Advanced selling ideas. This will be part 3 of the series.  The  link below will take you to the 22 page guide that is published by eBay. I suggest you download it and take advantage of this guide.  If you can print it out and bring it with that would be great.

 We will be encouraging discussion and would like input for all our members. The more questions we get the more answers we will have.

 When you look at this guide you will see several links. We plan to explore as many links as possible and help each other work on perfecting these areas that need to be studied.

In May we will talk about the Spring Seller Release. By that time some of the changes will be put in place.

 Please come out and bring your ideas to share with the members.

Rich Nila Siok Appealing Signs We are VERY EXCITED to have scheduled Rich & Nila Siok, our successful entrepreneur friends from Appealing Signs, to talk with us today about Marketing Your Business and Seller’s Groups.

Rich and Nila started a great eBay Seller’s Group, The Chicagoland eBay Sellers in 2006.  Bev England, our favoriteJabber the Parrot grandma from Grandma Bev’s Stuff, is also working with them to run the group. The Chicagoland eBay Sellers currently has 369 registered members on their meetup group website, which I think makes them the largest Single City Group in the World. More importantly, if you ask Rich, Nila or Bev, is that they consistantly have 40+ members at their meetings which shows a very involved and active membership.

We are happy to learn from them the secrets of developing such a large active group and the benefits to small business owners in belonging to such a group. There are so very many benefits, education and encouragement are probably the most important. However, another benefit is Marketing as the other members in the group learn to Know, Like and Trust you. I’m not sure when Spring is going to show up. This weather is really getting in the way of my boating season.

Bev, has searched the eBay boards and has found the top 10 steps to increase sales. We plan to go over these 10 steps and look at some of them live on eBay. This month we are asking our group to please bring your laptops to the meeting. Pete has put in WI FI. I will have the passwords to get us up and running. This will be an informative night please bring any other ideas that you may have to help us all get our items better search results.

I want to give a heads up for our June 8th meeting. I have made arrangements to hold the meeting at Charlies Charhouse. It will be a dinner/discussion/networking evening. We will be having an “Ask The Experts” Panel Discussion. We have done this in the past and had a great response. This will be geared to all stages of eBay sellers seasoned or new. Please save the date.

What an awesome meeting in February. I plan to do a recap and see if anyone has tried any of the ideas that Bev passed out. We are planning to attend the auction house at Jennifers soon. We will report at this meeting how it went. If you do not follw our blog at www.biddingpros.com I suggest you do. We have been updating regularly with interesting articles of interest to the e-commerce sellers.
As w write this the Cubs and Sox are in Spring training. This brought me to the idea of baseball and home runs. Nila nad I have had several Home Runs on eBay. We will be bring our stories to share with the group. We also want your input and want you to share your stories with the group.
